Meet Dr. Zook

Matthew Zook, MD, PhD, graduated from Jefferson Medical College and Thomas Jefferson University College of Graduate Studies in 2005. He completed his dermatology training at Jefferson Dermatology Associates in 2009. He joined the staff of Fox Chase Cancer Center as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and was an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Temple University.

At Fox Chase Cancer Center, Dr. Zook was the Director of the Melanoma Risk Assessment Program where he screened and counseled patients at high risk for the development of skin cancer. Dr. Zook has participated in research projects focusing on medical imaging and has been an investigator on several clinical trials dealing with the treatment of skin cancers. He has authored book chapters dealing with systemic cancers that can present in the skin and the consequences of artificial tanning, and has also been an article reviewer for Dermatology journals.

Dr. Zook is active in local dermatology societies, a member of the Society for Investigative Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and an active MOHS surgeon.
