Meet Dr. Sable

David B. Sable, M.D., Ph.D., joined Academic Alliance in Dermatology, Inc., in February 2016. Dr. Sable is an American Board of Medical Specialties Board Certified Dermatologist and a Fellowship-trained Dermatologic Surgeon specializing in Mohs Surgery for skin cancer and reconstructive surgery.

In addition to an active general Dermatology practice, Dr. Sable is one of the few Fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeons in Tampa Bay specializing in Surgical Dermatology, skin cancer, and surgical reconstruction. Dr. Sable was originally a Boston native who earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Tufts University before successfully completing a Ph.D., in Chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. After completing his Ph.D., he returned to Boston to complete an M.D. at Tufts before successfully completing an Internal Medicine Internship at Brigham and Womens Hospital and a Pathology Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Sable then completed a Dermatology Residency at Wayne State University where he was ultimately named chief resident for his final year. Dr. Sable then completed a Fellowship in Dermatologic Surgery and Mohs Surgery at the University of Wisconsin where he had the opportunity to learn the Mohs Surgery under Dr. Stephen Snow who had been trained by Dr. Frederic Mohs.

Dr. Sable prides himself in ensuring that all patients receive superior care for each and every visit. Dr. Sable lives in Tampa with his wife and enjoys all the activities that Tampa Bay has to offer.
