We are so excited to announce the addition of our newest laser: the CO2RE laser from Candela! Our CO2 laser pretty much does it all— it’s one of the most innovative and cutting edge lasers on the market, providing stunning results and offering the ability to treat a massive number of different medical and aesthetic skin issues…more than almost any other laser out there. The main procedure we do with this laser is called CO2 Laser Resurfacing, and we think our patients are going to love it! Here’s a little more about how it works.

We’re huge fans of laser therapy here at AAD, and it’s not hard to see why! Lasers are one of the most diverse and effective treatments out there for a huge variety of skin issues and conditions, both medical and/or aesthetic. With the right laser you can treat one patient for a combination of aesthetic concerns such as sagging skin, discoloration or age spots, fine lines and deep wrinkles, then turn around and use that same laser to remove acne scars or treat another patient’s rosacea. It truly is incredible!

That’s why we’re so excited to announce the addition of our newest laser: the CO2RE laser from Candela!

What Is CO2 Laser Resurfacing?

AAD’s new CO2 laser is the first laser that simultaneously treats above and below damaged skin at the same time, using powerful light-based technology to remove damaged layers of skin with precise “cuts” and stimulating the production of collagen and new skin cells while enhancing the patient’s skin tone and texture, reducing the effects and appearance of sun damage on the skin, and smoothing fine lines, wrinkles, and scarring.

What Does CO2 Laser Resurfacing Treat?

The thing we love the most about CO2 Laser Resurfacing is that it can be used to treat so many different skin issues and conditions, including:

  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Fine lines
  • Deep wrinkles
  • Sagging skin
  • Sunspots, age spots, and other effects from the sun
  • Surgical scarring
  • Acne scarring
  • Burn scars
  • Other skin conditions such as sebaceous hyperplasia, skin tags, etc.

We’ve seen the incredible results that patients across the country are getting from CO2 Laser Resurfacing, and we’re so excited to be offering this procedure to patients in the Tampa area. We are officially accepting appointments for CO2 Laser Resurfacing at our office located on Kennedy boulevard in Tampa— if you have questions about how the procedure works or want to schedule an appointment, call us at 813-514-4711!
