Pediatric Dermatology and Our Impact
A major mission of Academic Alliance in Dermatology is to practice an academic grade of dermatology in the Tampa Bay Area. We are the only practice in Tampa to have two staff members board certified in pediatrics and board certified in dermatology. The group of pediatric dermatologists is less than 1,000 in the world and Academic Alliance in Dermatology hosts two of them. Dr. Vasiloudes and Dr. Nyanda are serving clients from Tampa for all rare and common diseases affecting pediatric cases including eczema, rashes, acne, warts, molluscum and psoriasis.
Furthermore, our excellence in pediatric dermatology in Tampa is supported by a cast of superbly trained dermatopathologists and dermatologists. Having the integration of pediatrics, dermatology, pathology and research, makes Academic Alliance in Dermatology truly unique in the greater Tampa Bay Area and the West Coast of Florida.
We have been servicing Tampa and caring for children with very rare diseases including xeroderma pigmentosum, epidermolysis bullosa, tubular sclerosis, neurofibromatosis, incontinentia pigmenti, but along with the rare conditions we are taking care of thousands of children every year who are suffering from eczema, rashes, allergies, hives, acne, scars, viral infections, molluscums, warts and on occasion malignancies or skin cancers even as young as the age of one.
