April Newsletter 2019
Spring has officially sprung, and we could not be more excited for all the changes that it brings with it! Our patients are like family, and we love to keep them updated on what’s happening here at the office, whether it’s the addition of a new provider, exciting new discounts or specials, an upcoming event, or a personal message from one of our own! So, without further ado, here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to recently and what we have on the horizon for April.
Community Service, Academic Excellence and Global Leadership
After 40 years in healthcare, our President, CEO and CMO, demonstrated the values Academic Alliance in Dermatology stands for: Compassionate community work, empathy and engagement in healthcare delivery and academic excellence with global reach and impact.
Community Service & Philanthropy
After serving for almost 20 years as a Board member at Independence Day School and Berkeley Preparatory School, Dr. Vasiloudes is now serving as a member of the USF Health MCOM Campaign Cabinet. Educational and Healthcare Excellence are Dr. Vasiloudes core values. Further more, Dr. Vasiloudes recently attended the twinning ceremony of Tampa to Heraklion, Crete at the Old Tampa City Hall. At the banquet dinner given at the Floridian Hotel, Dr. Vasiloudes welcomed the Cretan delegation on behalf of the Dean of the Medical school C. Lockwood, MD, MPH. The intent is to establish an intercontinental exchange program and build bridges to Educate and Care.
Scientific & Academic Excellence
During the month of February, Dr. Vasiloudes as part of a global leadership group of Key Opinion Leaders in Pediatric Dermatology, discussed new medications and treatments options in pediatric eczema. Dr. Vasiloudes’ critical input in the advisory board organized by Regeneron, part of Sanofi Aventis and Bioderma were very well received.
Global Leadership & Impact
Dr. Vasiloudes role as the medical director of the Harklinikken; the leading global network of clinics specializing in the most common cause of hair loss; androgenetic alopecia, allowed to learn and touch so many lives. Dr. Vasiloudes has seen clients with hair loss in Dubai, Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Denmark, and Iceland and from all over the USA.
With spring at our doorstep we are intensifying our campaign to eliminate death from melanoma. Our community work, media campaign and clinical efforts are making a difference. We are launching a three month broad campaign with focus on melanoma awareness; including our “Melanoma Awareness Event”, on Saturday May 4th from 9 to 11am, at our headquarters location in Town & Country.
