McKenzie, a dedicated and compassionate nurse practitioner, brings a wealth of expertise and a personal touch to Academic Alliance in Dermatology. Born and raised in South Florida, McKenzie developed a deep understanding of the unique dermatological needs of individuals living in sun-rich environments. Her journey in healthcare began at Barry University in Miami, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
In 2019, McKenzie embarked on her professional career as a critical care nurse, a role that honed her skills in high-pressure environments and instilled in her a profound commitment to patient care. Her passion for advancing her knowledge and expertise led her to the University of South Florida, where she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing. McKenzie is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in adult and geriatric critical care, a testament to her dedication to providing the highest standard of care to her patients.
McKenzie’s areas of expertise include adult & gerontology, moles, skin cancer, atopic dermatitis and acne. Her approach to dermatology is deeply influenced by her Florida upbringing, where she witnessed firsthand the impacts of prolonged sun exposure.
